I don’t believe I would’ve expected there to be a good free pixel art app, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found this. Dottable is that app.
In fact, I enjoyed this app so much, I recommended it to my friend, as we make little sprites for games we’ll eventually make. But that’s off topic. The reason I enjoy dottable is the fact that it’s easy to use, and the canvas size can be adjusted up to 120 pixels.
Every other free pixel art app has limited size. I once encountered an app that had a max canvas of 7 pixels. SEVEN PIXELS.
I also like that the color selection is simple enough where it’s easy but nice. Again, it deserves five stars, but there are slight errors.
I would like it if you can rename arts, and I would also suggest that this app never used ads. Oh, and please add a line tool.

DatGayBoiHaiden, Very nice app. I’ve drawn a few things on this, and they’ve all ended up nicely, and this app is honestly aesthetic or whatever, right? The one thing I have with it is apparently if you don’t save your work or something before exiting the app completely, if deletes what you were working on. I was drawing a little demogorgon thing, (it’s some monster from a show called “Stranger Things”, that I highly recommend because it’s beautiful,) I spent a while on it, and left for a while to take a break. When I got back to continue it, it just wasn’t there and that’s not quite peachy. But I honestly love this app.

Sorry if I'm breaking any rules, guys. I'm currently planning to do an isometric 2D game with two of my friends and we're planning to use Unity for it. We were wondering what sort of art style this used. Is it just simply pixel art? If it is so, what's the best program to create our assets with?
We've looked into many but we couldn't reach a conclusion, and I thought you guys might be able to help. We're complete beginners on this and we're doing this as a summer project. Any help or redirection to a subreddit where I can be helped is appreciated. Thanks. Yes, that is pixel art. You can tell by, ehrm, the pixels?;) If you are doing something for a summer project, are beginners, and don't even know what app to start with, you should really scale back your expectations about what you can accomplish in such a short time frame with the amount of experience you have. Unless you plan to live in your basements all summer long and somehow develop 14+ hours a day.
Photoshop is my go to app. CS2 is totally free and is in the sidebar of this subreddit.
